Genealogist Terho Asikainen

I am a professional Finnish genealogist and family history researcher. I live in Hämeenlinna, Southern Finland.

I took my master’s degree in Theology (Old Testament studies) in the University of Helsinki in 1995, which means that I am well familiar with both textual criticism in general and church records particularly. I have 30 years of experience in genealogy and I speak Finnish, Swedish and English.

I am also a folk musician and music teacher. I play the fiddle and jouhikko and I am especially interested in the archaic music traditions of Finland.

I have published several genealogical books and blog writings in Finnish, but you can find me writing in English on Twitter.
